We are two sisters born and raised on the east coast who have always had a passion for beautiful things and an affinity for shoes. This first came to light when Ilissa spent a semester abroad in Italy and was introduced to fine Italian food and fine Italian leather. She came home that summer 15 pounds heavier and with 17 pairs of fabulous footwear (this is not an exaggeration… ask our dad).

Leading the way as the older sister, Ilissa found herself shepherding Dori into a world of beautiful shoes. Combine that with SEX AND THE CITY and an introduction to influential men such as Jimmy Choo, Christian Louboutin and Giuseppe Zanotti and two young shoe lovers were born!

But as our tastes matured we knew two things: 1) We didn’t want to have to take out second mortgages to support our shoe habit and 2) Sometimes we just couldn’t find want we wanted and that was simply not okay.

So, being as dedicated as we are to the plight, we figured out a way to get our perfect shoe. When we just couldn’t keep it a secret any longer we created milk & honey™ to introduce the idea of affordable custom made shoes to women everywhere!

We’ve lived in New York, Los Angeles, and Hong Kong and know a thing or two about getting what we want! We are so excited about our shoes and hope you are too…
