The vote is in and Pantone’s color of the year for 2013 is … Emerald Green! This stunningly beautiful and rich color was described by Pantone as “a color of elegance and beauty that enhances our sense of well-being, balance and harmony”. We couldn’t
New York Fashion Week left us with lots to look forward to for Spring 2013! As there is so much to look at, we took the opportunity to narrow it down to a couple of trends we saw among numerous designers and chose 5 of the top best shoe looks to share.
One trend we’ll see starting this Fall and continuing into Spring is metallic embellishments, especially cap toes as shown by Michael Kors:
Fashion Week: Day #3
Outfit: Eggplant Joanna August wrap dress, leopard pony hair pumps
The shows are in full swing and I’ve found my groove! Back and forth between the great space at MILK and the tents at Lincoln Center.
Jill Stuart — So let’s start with the fact that Kris Humphries and Scott Dissick are sitting front row… WITHOUT Kim and Kourtney. I will never quite fully understand everyone’s obsessions with all thing Kardashian. It has surpassed any sort of rationale or reason… but I digress. Back to Jill. Her show was like being inside a vat of Magnolia frosting — pinks, mint greens and pale yellows.
Fashion Week: Day #2
Outfit: Navy Blue Max Studio dress with red and white polka dot shoes
If everyone is hungover from the insanity that was Fashion Night Out, you can’t tell. The tents are in full swing and I’m surrounded by about 50 fashion bloggers typing furiously about the spectacular shows.
Without further ado… highlights from day two:
Peter Som – Clearly bold colors are the trend here with Peter Som showing oranges, cobalt blue and pinks – lots of floral prints. Crazy points for the shiny eel leather used in both a deep pink trouser skirt as well as a fabulous yellow dress.
Fashion Week: Day #1
Outfit: Black Helmut Lang dress with green and white polka-dot, t-strap shoes
GAME. IS. ON! Lincoln Center is buzzing. The rain has finally stopped and there are gorgeous people everywhere. Phones are all charged, everyone is bright eyed. Miss Piggy and Anna Wintour are on the cover of The Daily, so things are good.
For Fashion’s Night Out during New York Fashion Week, Sarah Jessica Parker made an appearance at Manolo Blahnik to launch the reinvention of her classic Carolyne shoe.
It’s no surprise that leopard is a continuing trend into Spring 2012. Rebecca Taylor showed these gorgeous leopard and nude shoes during her New York Fashion Week show yesterday.
One of the trends being unveiled at New York Fashion Week is cork! Designers who span the spectrum (Cynthia Vincent to Ugg) are showing various takes on the material for Spring.
