Once viewed as playful and young, polka-dots have emerged this fall as sophisticated and chic.  Polka-dots first made their fashion entrance in the late 19^th century in Britain – since then, they’ve come and gone and the good news is, that according to the fall runway shows, 2011 is the year of the polka-dot! 

The fun thing about this reincarnation of the polka-dot is that we’re seeing it on bags, scarfs, umbrellas and more!  So while there are tons of dresses and skirts that are showing this year, what we are really excited about is polka-dotted accessories; this way, you don’t have to chase the ever-elusive “flattering polka-dot” but rather stick with a simple silhouette and add a touch of polka-dot elsewhere…

Shoes, of course, is where our heart lies and there is no shortage of fantastically fun footwear sporting the dots.  We’re seeing traditional black and white as well as bright, poppy colors.  Here's a selection of shoes made from our shoebuilder...
