As always, the shoes were the hightlight of New York Fashion Week for us so we wanted to share some of the trends the most beautiful for Fall 2012! The collections included tough-girl shilhouettes as well as new takes on the pump including classicaly feminie styles like the t-strap (carrying over from Spring 2012.) The color palettes focused on shades of burgandy, mustard and hunter green and the most popular textures (we LOVE textures!) were embossed croc, woven leather, velvet and fur.

We absolutely love the gold and white color combination on the Nicholas Kirkwood for Prabal Gurung beauties below.  And the straps are really to die for, as is the textured platform

These red Louboutin stunners for Marchesa are truly special and unique. Not to mention, they coordinated perfectly with collection.

The Ralph Lauren boots below are clasically beautiful from the front but it's the amazing heels that make them really special from the back. Check out the details AND they managed to include bothe silver and gold. Metallic accents are something we'll definitely see more of for Fall. We are currently working on how to incorporate them into our shoes builder so you can design your own shoes with the shiny touches.

We really love the Donna Karen pumps below. The brown and black combination allow the shoes to match almost everything and the texture on the croc cap, counter deco, heel and ankle strap make the shoes so much more interesting

We've been a big fan of this sort of counter deco for a while now and you'll see a similar option in our shoe builder very shortly. Below is an example of a Milk & Honey shoe that we created to test the look.

Tory Burch showed a great take on the pointed toe, another big trend for Fall 2012, with lots of straps and a cap toe in tonal black and grey.

You've actually been able to create your own shoes  in a similar fashion for a while! Check our a Milk & Honey pointed, strappy shoe below.  Ours version is just  a bit less subtle...

Rodarte made their debut in footwear for Fall 2012 and true to form, they did something very unique. We aren't sure how wearable these boots are, but they are very cool and we do love the metallic accents on the heels.

Another trend for Fall is oxfords. Derek Lam certainly didn't take a low key approach with his gold metallic version below!

Michael Kors did a nice take on the classic t-strap by including buckles, embossed croc (still loving the texture) and a chunky wooden platform and heel.

We really love the burgandy velvet DVF boots with slim gold metallic cap toe below. They are so rich and lush, they have inspired us to add to our velvet offering for Fall so something else to look forward to!

We hope you enjoyed the preview of Fall 2012 shoes as much as we did and gained some early inspiration for your Fall wardrobe. It's never to early start planning you own custom creation.
