As you've likely already noticed, milk & honey recently launched a new site (and designed some shoes to match -- come on, we couldn't help it!) While we don't usually use this space to discuss things other than fashion and shoes, we wanted to take a moment to thank you your for all of your help.

For those of you who have followed us, you know that milk & honey is a concept that's been in the works for over 5 years.  Ever since Dorian and I received the first of many complements on our custom made shoes, we knew we had to offer the service to women everywhere.  And while it took us some time to leave our jobs and focus full time to get  milk & honey up and running, we are so glad we did!  We got exactly what we wanted, the ability to make many women very happy by delivering perfect shoes.  The positive feedback has been truly amazing. A benefit we didn't consider ahead of time was the customer input and interaction we'd gain through a customized service.

It's with all of the feedback we've received from all of our loyal customers (you!), stylists, fashion editors, and very talented friends (programmers, marketers, etc.) that allowed us to successfully re-launch our site with a great new look and functionality.

Interestingly, some well established companies are taking notice of the benefit of consumer interaction and wanting to gain access to that as well. While Nike, Reebok, Converse and others have supplied custom made sneakers for some time now, others are jumping on the "design your own" bandwagon for different reasons.  For example, Keds recently launched a similar service just to get access this sort of interaction with consumers.  You can read more about it in this Wall Street Journal article about Keds' new approach with a custom business.

We feel very fortunate to have obtained the interaction just through the nature of our business, and have become more successful because of it.  So again, THANK YOU for all of your help, we couldn't have done it without you!
