Band-aid

It's that time of year again, the sun is shining, the weather is warm and you've retired your cold weather footwear in favor of peep toes and sandals, yay!  But as we've all learned, something happens over the winter, your feet get used to socks and other methods of friction prevention. Your favorite sandals that were so super comfortable last year are all of a sudden giving you blisters!  And all of those lovely new shoes... they are even worse until you break them in.

Well, the good news is that you don't have to suffer year after year.  There are some simple things you can do to avoid blisters.  Many use band-aids, a tried and true solution. However, band-aids don't always stay in place as well as we need them to. And while we have to resort to them when we already have a blister, there are better methods to avoid them in the first place.  One of them is tape, yes tape!  Bits of packaging or, better yet, clear duct tape applied to the right places is genius at preventing friction.  If you don't like the thought of tape on your feet or are concerned that it will be visible, another great solution is Band-Aid's Active Friction Block Stick.  It's easy, no mess application instantly provides an invisible barrier to the friction that causes blisters.  It's cheap and fairly easy to find. You can also get it on drugstore.com  http://www.drugstore.com/band-aid-active-friction-block-stick/qxp163404.

Don't let blisters hold you back from wearing your beautiful shoes, just a few easy steps can keep your feet in good shape and you feeling comfortable and looking good (per usual!)
