Saturday night was the opening night party for Tim Burton's amazing exhibit at LACMA in Los Angeles. The exhibit spent last year in NYC's MoMA and just made its way west to Tim Burton's hometown of Los Angeles.

The exhibit brings together over 700 drawings, paintings, photographs, puppets, films and other breath-taking ephemera from Burton's career. If you are a fan of EDWARD SCISSORHANDS, BEETLEJUICE, ALICE IN WONDERLAND or creepy/ freaky macabre in general, then you will quickly become obsessed with Tim Burton (if you're not already) and this exhibit.

Obviously, the art was enough of a feast for your eyes, but the celeb spottings? Pretty awesome. Winona Ryder, Kelly Osbourne, Slash (from Guns N' Roses), Eva Mendez, and Jeffrey Jones. Who's Jeffery Jones, you ask? Principal Rooney from FERRIS BUELLER. Ah. Maz. Ing.

And the outfits? Pretty stellar. While not really a costume party, there were certainly guests who had fun with the "Burton-esque" look -- lots of top hats, bright colors and general wackiness... I tired to do a little something different without going too crazy. I mixed my favorite black and white striped Corey Lynn Calter dress with my brand spanking new twist on the Dots Happening shoe. I used that same print, but did a closed toe, Mary Jane with a 4" chunk heel.

After the exhibit we went outside to nibble on tuna tacos, burrata and steak skewers. Open bar and lovely night in Los Angeles, would have been enough to make this a pretty amazing night... BUT THEN. We all get ushered to the terrace of LACMA where Perry Farrell, Dave Navarro and the rest of JANE'S ADDICTION were playing a concert for about 500 of us.

Great art, fun people watching, awesome music and fabulous shoes! If you're in LA - go see the exhibit!
