Spring '12 shoes made their way to Paris Fashion Week, and they were amazing! We saw designers go to extremes with bold colors as well as neutrals, lots of embellishments (think flowers, feathers, etc.), translucent materials, metallics and more. Some were more works of art than shoes. It wasn't easy, but we've narrowed down our 10 favorites to share with you.
We love these Christian Dior shoes. Black shoes that are anything but basic. The chain detailing is great.

Not surprisingly we love really uniqe shoes that combine various textures and patterns. That's why we love this Christian Louboutin style.

A trend we've seen a lot of for Spring '12 is white shoes. But, these aren't your Bon Jovi, Jersey Shore white shoes (not that there is anything wrong with that!) A modern take on an 80s classic. Louis Vuitton did a great job of this by using croc printed leather with a silver mirror metallic cap toe:

And here with white patent, a chunky heel and adding black which completes another Spring trend: black & white.

Jean Paul Gautlier wasn't shy with embellishments as you can see here with these amazing red shoes. We love that the pump is plain and the excitement takes place around the ankle.

These Elie Saab sandals are great for a few reasons. The yellow is muted enough to be used as a neutral shoe that's not nude. We also love that they are a simple style that is modernized by combining straps that you usually see separately.

Yves Saint Laurent also spiced up a basic by making the straps more interesting and adding a mirror metallic cap toe.

Nicolas Kirkwood used the most neutral colors to create shoes that are anything but subtle! The unique design is great and the nude and black color combo makes them wearable.

Cloe focused the action on the back of the shoe instead of the front with a snakeskin accent (a style you'll be able to create in our shoe builder soon!) on the counter and heel, leaving the front plain. She made the shoes even more interesting by combining snake skin and croc printed leather.

Valentino offered a unique take on a neutral shoe combining nude leather with a muted coral and black. The shape of the vamp is sweet which contradicts cool strap.

We hope you enjoyed seeing our faves, and that you'll design your own perfect shoes for Spring '12!
