Last week the Haute Couture Fashion Shows took place in Paris, and the looks were amazing! However, as you can imagine, our real interest was in the shoes. Sophisticated, refined takes on ladylike classics were the focus. So, we wanted to share with you the Top 10 Fall couture shoes according to WWD.
Below are a silk and patent pointed toe d'Orsay pumps by Armani Prive. The combination of the pointed toe and straight, chunkier heel lend an updated look to a classic shoe.

These boots by Channel feature a classic toe and heel shape, but the above the knee length definitely make them modern!
Booties are very timely, and Valentino adds a classic and ladylike twist to them with clean lines and nude and gold colors.

Christian Dior shoes are all 2011 with lots of straps that come up to ankles and crazy heel shapes!

Stephanie Roland also focused on the current with this beautiful and unique rendition. It seems gold and nude is also a trend!

Really the only way to describe these Worth shoes is WOW. The satin pointed shoes are beautifully shaped and classic on their own. Add the gladiator straps and there is no question that these shoes are today and amazing!

Giambattista Valli takes beading to a whole other level with these black and coral pumps.

We saw fir trim rise in popularity last Fall, but it was used mostly on boots. Alexis Mabille introduces an interesting contrast with sandals made of fur (they do look cozy!)

These sock/boot combo shoes by Maison Martin margiela are unquestionably original.

What can we say, these classic Roger Vivier's are really beautiful. The oversized flower makes them current, but this will always be a classic style. Nude and gold again we see!

It will be interesting to see how these styles translate to stores for Fall.
