Sometimes living in Los Angeles, has its drawbacks -- waiters with headshots, the 405 at 4pm, overpriced preschool -- but sometimes the bonuses are so great that we forgive every waifish actor/model/whatever we see on Sunset Blvd.
Last night was a great reminder of how fun it can be living in Hollywood, where a red carpet premiere is just another way to spend your Tuesday night. Warner Bros' SOMETHING BORROWED premiered at the iconic Chinese Theater on Hollywood Blvd and we were lucky enough to score tickets - to the premiere, the after party, the after after party and the after after after party! (Truthfully, we bailed on the after after after party... this girl had to get up and work the next day!)

Last spring we were lucky enough to work with Gary Jones, the incredibly talented costume designer on SOMETHING BORROWED. He had some very specific ideas on shoes he wanted for certain scenes and instead of going to the usual suspects, he found us and designed exactly what he wanted! Gary designed three pairs of shoes that are used throughout the movie (we'll post pictures just as soon as we can!). The shoes, and Gary's costumes in general are amazing. It doesn't hurt that he has Kate Hudson and Ginnifer Goodwin to use as models...
But most importantly, what was I wearing you ask? While I wasn't fabulous enough to walk the red carpet, I did manage to snap a picture of my new, spring milk & honey sandals.

The shoes I designed for the occasion were a light and springy 3" kitten heel with champagne snakeskin and lipstick pink suede. I paired them with a Helmut Lang drop-waisted simple black tank dress and a gold necklace I picked up from Anthropologie when I was in New York last week.

Great movie, great shoes, great night!
